Governments change. Our commitment to freedom doesn’t.
Whoever forms the next Government, PILLAR’s mission remains the same: protecting individual liberty and the foundations of a free, flourishing New Zealand.
An election can change who holds power. It does not remove the need to hold that power to account.
I’ve never been more convinced we started PILLAR at the right time.
Whoever wins, the next three years will require organisations prepared to push, challenge and hold the Government of the day to account on foreign interference, free speech, online safety, digital control and digital ID, freedom of choice, and our right to privacy from the state.
Our freedoms cannot depend on which party holds the pen. — N
That means scrutinising legislation, challenging laws that threaten individual rights, and equipping New Zealanders to speak and act courageously.
It also means building a culture that understands freedom and accepts the responsibility to defend it. No government can do that work for us. — A
In just 14 months since launch, we’ve already made significant inroads into foreign interference, online privacy and security, and into building partnerships with people in government. We’re looking forward to building on that work.
We’ll work with those in power where we can and challenge them where we must. The principles remain the same, whoever is in office.
We have ambitious plans for the next three years: challenging the laws that shape our lives, asking hard questions about our system of government, and equipping the next generation to understand, value and defend their freedom.
We didn’t start PILLAR just to get through an election. We started it to help shape what comes next. — N
Your support makes that possible. Every donation, shared message, and conversation helps us take this work further.
If you believe New Zealand needs a strong, principled voice for freedom throughout the next three years, please support PILLAR today. — A
Governments get a term. Our commitment goes beyond it.
Thank you for standing with us. We’re just getting started.
